I was just looking at your bookshelf. Peace Like a River is a GREAT book - I'm reading it right now and am about halfway through it.

Being a mom to a little one with limited communication skills can be very trying. As a mother of two myself, even though they are grown, I can assure you I'm experiencing all those same feelings you're feeling, all over again, through my grandchild. He's two. Need I say more? Being frustrated is natural.

But please know this - as a woman on the other side of raising children, I know for sure there is no greater reward or satisfaction than knowing you were a good mom, kind and patient, and raised wonderful people. :-)

And thank you so much for your kind comment. Rob and I are struggling with his job loss but the news that a new grandchild is expected totally softens the blow. Yet another little one to try to communicate with! LOL

I hope you can continue to interact with Little in a positive way. Just remember that she can only communicate what she needs through crying, fussing, etc. which can be trying at times. But the love she gives when responded to is overwhelming. I wish I had been a little less frustrated at times with you and your brother when you were small and appreciated the gifts God had given me more. Keep up the good work!! You are truly an amazing young lady and a tremendous Mother to Little!
