All I can say is “huh?”

I live in suburbia. Not on the outskirts of town, but right in the middle of an established residential area. Knowing this, you might imagine my surprise this morning in seeing a dead deer on a neighborhood street about a half mile from my home. As Little and I strolled down the sidewalk on our morning walk, I looked over and saw a good size deer laying feet up on the side of the road!
You might ask if I’m sure it was real to which I would reply, “Yes, complete with swarming flies and a stench that can only be associated with rotting animal flesh.”
How did it get there? I’ll probably never know.

How awful!
Would someone had hit it on a road and taken it to town so it could be disposed of properly…by someone else… ???
ha! ha! that is so gross!
EEEEE-Yuck!!!
You missed your chance to say, “I love the smell of rotting deer flesh in the morning.”
Yuck- roadkill! There was an armadillo crossing our neighbors driveway one night when we came home-that was pretty awesome.
The poor deer! There was a deer roaming the streets of my very residential neighborhood last year, and we think it’s because housing plats are being developed all around the woodsy areas that these animals use as their habitats. It’s kind of sad!
At least the one in my neighborhood was still alive (at the time I saw it, at least).
I hope someone comes to pick it up soon. That’s not a pleasant sight.
