For the boy…
I’ve sacrificed coffee, mexican food, sleep. The first two were tough because they were unexpected, but the third definitely has the most impact on life.
It’s not that he is a bad sleeper; usually he wakes up 2-3 times to eat and then goes back to bed. There have been those few nights where I’d had coffee or mexican food or the random nights he wakes up for a few minutes and it isn’t feeding time; those are to be expected, he’s only 5 weeks old. But then there was Saturday night when he decided that it would be a good idea to stay awake from 1:20 (eating time) until 4:00 just because he didn’t want to go back to sleep. His daddy says he can no longer sleep between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
I’m thinking of changing the name of the blog to “The Diaries of a Sleep Deprived Mind.”

ha! i so understand and feel the pain…. so funny though. grayson can handle coffee but coke drives him up the wall. crazy huh?! but i’m with you on the mexican food. he hates it!
Hang in there Jana!
I can sympathize – our newest addition decided to scream non-stop from 9 pm to 3 am last night. No more dairy or chocolate (or sleep) for me – argh!
Oh well. I just sent you an email saying I hope you were getting sleep. SORRY! I hope things will improve quickly!
I hope you get some sleep soon. I don’t remember my girls being particularly fussy when I ate certain things. Then again, that was like eons ago.
OH how I miss coffee! I’m right there with you girl, you are NOT alone! Motherhood isn’t easy, is it?
Like father, like son! Sorry you are having to suffer for the sins of the father… I felt like a zombie with each of my first two but by the time the youngest came along I was either too tired or else he was easier baby so that I didn’t suffer quite as much with night time feedings. Motherhood is rough but worth it all.
