Potty breaks

Thoughtfully penned on March 26th, 2009 and generally concerning E

Awhile back I mentioned that we were having some issues with Little and the whole potty training thing. In fact, I think I was at the point then that I wanted to run screaming from the house and just let her wear diapers until she is 15. Fortunately, we have turned the corner and things are going very well these days.

One of the big problems we had was that she had decided she couldn’t use public bathrooms. When you’re out and about as much as we are, this is a huge issue! I’m happy here to say that she is now very willing to use the bathroom wherever we are.

Case in point, we made three (yes, three!) potty trips during the hour we were at Target this morning. Maybe training pants weren’t such a problem after all…

Noise from the peanut gallery

  1. Oh geesh! I remember those days! Its like- do you ignore or listen? When I’ve ignored, we’ve had accidents….AT TARGET! I got into the routine, since we had a newborn, to go ahead and go potty the second we walked into a store…. and then usually we went right before we left the house and as soon as we walked into the house. :) Ha! Good luck! You’re almost there!

  2. We haven’t even started with my 2yr old yet. I knew I need to but I keep thinking about how it’s easier to put a diaper on him and head out the door. ; )

  3. So glad it is better! My FB was the opposite. He wanted to check out EVERY single public restroom on the planet. YUCK!
